REBELLION AGAINST GOD'S WORLD

REBELLION AGAINST GOD'S WORLD

Culturally, morally, spiritually and intellectually hungry and thirsty Serbia in the 21st century, out of kindness silently observes what an orphanage of values surrounds it. Instead of the whole waking up and finding its charismatic and sotirological foothold, a certain part of it is floundering between the attic and the basement as if without a head. Just going down the floor separates her from her wits, and she chooses GMO wits instead. Some Serbs (if they want to be Serbs at all because they consider themselves to be Serbs even without religion) seem to like being forever in small halls, represented as small people, outside of any system of justice and morality. As Saint Justin of Celje said a long time ago: "I was born on Serbian land, but he is not a Serb." I recently attended a lecture that almost no one had heard of. I was asked by a friend and I honored the invitation. In fact, that tribune (or whatever), I didn't know that every now and then it resounds from Kolarac's endowment like a broken banner, and you'd be surprised how lively, negative, immoral and anti-theistic it is with its speech. At one point, Kusta said to his close associate: "In order to cooperate with me, you must have at least a minimum of morality." Govorancija did not even meet that minimum.

It was on Monday, December 12, 2016. in the small hall of "Kolarca", with the paradoxical title: "Man and God in Crime and Punishment by F.M. Dostoyevsky, Rebellion against God's World: Crime and Punishment and the Russian Avant-Garde". What catches the eye already in the title itself, and what remains undefined in the speech, is "rebellion against God's world". As a reminder, although the student who kills the grandmother has a dualistic and Raskolnikov character and identity, no one is an "idiot" (in the lecturer's rhetoric) to generalize, neither the philosophical nor the theo-philological setting of the work itself. Mention above of wandering between the attic and the basement. Just an hour after the speech in question, an eminent lecture by prof. Jerotić on the topic: "Man and nations between atheism and fundamentalism". Unfortunately, you couldn't even peek into the great hall. What is relevant in the lectures is fundamentalism itself, but in an oppositional way, which will be expressed in the atheistic attitudes of the mentioned speech. In addition to this floor talk being static, accompanied by an endless number of postmans and inarticulate falsettos damaging to the hearing, it was decidedly non-argumentative. After a series of enumerations of Russian classics and philosophers, as well as their quotes on the above-mentioned topic, nothing new and more serious could be heard. However, the very finish here represents the peak of Zen in "yoga meditation over the precipice" (Matthias).

First, the lecturer's position on "the negative influence of the Russian Orthodox Church on society" was presented. This is supported by the position of the European Parliament, that the Orthodox Church is the greatest enemy of their propaganda. That well-known and obligatory argument that is taken out when there are no arguments. The credibility of the said body can be further reasoned and debated, e.g. on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija. Be that as it may, when this first part of the mantra was finally finished, a new stage of a special kind of tautology was passed. The Orthodox Church is branded as ethnophiletist par excellence. Blamed for all the negativity of modern society, especially in Russia.

It went a step further and did not refrain from criticizing the Serbian state in the "package" with the Church, where "popular" accusations of human rights violations were made. It is really interesting how the lecturer ʼexpertlyʼ noted the violation of human rights and freedoms. In this attitude, the "help of a friend" method was resorted to, and in this part of the session the main interpreters of the role of the guru were members of the "famous" punk group from Russia, colorfully named "Pussy riot". It is possible to understand to some extent why the talk turned into a session, by mentioning all the previous ones, including this "famous" group. This is because no one would have even heard of both of them if they had not started spitting and ignorantly attacking the Church, the state, its believers, citizens, using baseless insinuations. For those uninitiated, the famous "group" became famous only after their "performance" at the Holy Temple of Christ the Savior in Moscow. In February 2012, those in question managed to enter the cathedral and perform blasphemous acts in front of the altar, half-naked, with colorful phantoms. After a series of legal violations (their physical attacks on clergy and diplomats are known around the world) by this act, they were expectedly deprived of their freedom. Anyone average can see in whose hands is the knife and the cake. Even domestic media reported fake news about the alleged "suffering of female musicians from government repression". For the musically untalented "activists", after all the misdemeanors and heinous misdeeds, it was expected to be rewarded with the Order of Glory and Honor. The same could be understood in the aforementioned speech, because they did not touch on it.

The lecturer deliberately kept silent about the violation of religious rights and freedoms, public order and peace, open insult and mockery of the religious ethos of Orthodox Christians and a series of violated state laws. The quality of their performance of "punk" music, which, by all accounts, is not the primary but the tertiary craft of "Pussy Riot", should not even be discussed. By the way, there are two analogies to the aforementioned session. The first is in the production of music in the range of those deafening fakes from the session, and the second is that both of them are not engaged in their profession.

Since an attempt was made to justify the desecration of the sanctity of the temple, I was prevented from asking the question by the raising of the hand of an older, shrewd man, a professor (as I was told afterwards). His question was: "Could the group in question, when you already think that their actions are justified, perform such a thing in one of the famous churches in the West?". Visibly provoked by the question, nodding her head, the lecturer answered in her manner: "If they haven't done it yet, they should do it!". After a nebulous answer, which does not deserve a more detailed analysis, there followed (in this particular case) the above-mentioned symbiosis between atheism and fundamentalism. The ovation, applause and jokes on this answer only convinced me of the statement from the first sentence of the text. Further discussion would lead every smart and wise man to an even deeper collapse of that minimum of morality.             That's where it ends. The lecturer of this session is a Slavist, with multiple requests to become a member of SANU. Even ten years ago, as a professor of the Faculty of Philology, he excelled in his lectures in the Belgrade bazaar, hinting at a lot of what is in store for us and what we are experiencing today.

In support of this answer is the old position and appeal of the Russian Orthodox Church. She once appealed to the Russian state to release convicted terrorists, with the hope (contrary to the hope of the session lecturer) that they would not commit blasphemous acts again in any place of worship in the world. In the 2016 election year in America, in an interview given to CNN, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, when asked by Christiana Amanpour that Donald Trump also has his "pushing" moment, answered: "There are so many p***ies around your presidential campaign on both sides that I prefer not to comment." Perhaps he did not exaggerate.

The only true message of the speech is the slogan of the title that it is in itself a gross rebellion against God's world as such. The Slavic body of thought and philosophy is largely unsuitable and unattainable for the thought apparatus of quasi-Slavism, pan-European fanaticism and chauvinism. Everyone has an opinion, and aggressive attacks on churches and Christian communities, as well as the violation of their freedoms, have become the privilege of only the "chosen". Aggressive chanting about evil Serbs, Russians (Slavs) by Slavists speaks volumes for the part of the Serbian academic establishment. Deviant attitudes, opinions and attempts, over and over again, bad attempts to victimize old perpetrators. "Do not cast your pearls before swine" would be the conclusion of the review, which is not just a mantra on the way to nirvana, but a real call to responsibility, vigilance and conscientiousness.
